After eating lunch with the orphanage staff, we visited some places in AnQing city. We decided to stop at a local elementary school. At first, only a few students stopped to look at us, but within minutes we were drawing quite a crowd of young students practicing their English. We heard, "Nice to meet you" several times. Students in China begin learning English in the first grade. The students were also very anxious to get their picture taken. After five minutes, a crowd of about 100 students were waving and yelling greetings to us. We had to leave because school was starting and we were causing quite a commotion!
